RIP Trish.

Oklahoma closes tonight, and it's been a good run. The house was sold out and standing room only last night. I'm having a lot of fun in it, but I'm ready to move on to the next show.

Max had a wreck. He was going to come see Oklahoma last night, even though I told him not to. It was good though, I was happy he wanted to do that for me... But now he doesn't have Trish. At all. She's completely dead. Lots of happy memories in that car. :( And now we won't be able to see each other nearly enough... I'm really sad about it, but not as beat up as he is... We'll make it through though. We've got to, for both of our sakes.

He's safe though. No injuries from the wreck.

Happy to keep his dinner warm

Rehearsals for A Christmas Carol are going splendidly. I'm playing Mrs. Cratchit, et alia. Tonight we continue blocking Act II...

Oklahoma! auditions are this weekend. I'm auditioning for the role of Laurie, but honestly, I will embrace any role I get. Why not shoot for the stars, huh? I've got a wonderful number worked up though, so we'll see. My stomach is in knots....

Oh, and I'm in love. For real, y'all.

What more do I need...?

And there is going to be a freakin' sequel to Phantom of the Opera.
Nothing can save us now - except perhaps Christine.

KC/ACTF

This weekend was the State ACTF Festival, hosted by SOSU. We saw a lot of great theatre! Last night was the awards banquet and all of our hard work paid off!

Both BUG and INTRUSION are advancing!

Lora Meins, Travis Barnhart, Ryan Billingsly, Chris Page, and Rebecca Blackmore have been selected as Irene Ryan Nominees.

The Irene Ryan Scholarships provide recognition, honor, and financial assistance to outstanding student performers wishing to pursue further education. The Irene Ryan Foundation awards 19 regional awards and two fellowships annually. Sixteen (16) of the awards consist of a $500 scholarship for each regional representative of KCACTF. There are two scholarships of $2,500 each for the winners at the national festival in Washington, D.C. In addition, the student judged the Best Partner in the national auditions is awarded a cash prize of $250. The Irene Ryan Acting Scholarships are, indeed, scholarships; so the Foundation disburses the award through a school designated by the winner, to pay tuition and fees for further education, not necessarily limited to theatre arts.

Additionally, Brandi, Kaytee, and Meagan received recognition for their Graphic Designs on both Bug and Intrusion Posters. Chris Sanchez was recognized for his outstanding Stage Management. Nicole Godwin was recognized for her brilliant makeup design. Noah Crissman was awarded for his stellar lighting design. And Rebecca Blackmore was recognized for her Costume Design for Intrusion.

Way to go, Southeastern Theatre!!! We worked hard, and we deserve it!

I'm so pumped for theatre right now. I know I'm where I belong!

When I was growing up, I never dreamed of a perfect wedding. I’m told most girls do - but for some reason, I didn’t. I haven’t the slightest clue what that could mean psychologically... See the rest of this post, and comment on it, at temptingfate.org
